Kai and Vangel share a warm hug on the sidewalk. A police officer, Glokka, stands nearby sipping coffee, watching casually.

Kai: “Whatever you say, sword girl.”
“Don’t ghost. Hit me up anytime.”
Vangel: “Oh, I’m definitely keeping track of you.”

Glokka gestures as Kai walks away into the background. Vangel stands nearby holding a coffee, looking tired but reflective.

Glokka: “Stay out of trouble!”
Glokka (continuing): “He’s not wrong, you know…”
Glokka (continuing): “You inspire people to do what’s right.”
Glokka (continuing): “That’s a beautiful thing.”
Vangel: “I’d say something profound, but I’m very tired right now.”

Glokka walks off, back turned, while Vangel pulls her phone out of her coat.

Glokka: “Get some rest then.”
Vangel: “Got one more thing to do first.”

“I’m good. Really tired right now, but I’m good.”
“How are you?”
Vangel: “Sorry, I haven’t been great about checking in.”
“Yeah. I’ve been missing you, too.”
“I’m in Bastion City.”
“It’s been a crazy couple of days.”
“I’ve met a lot of new people here, actually.”
“Yeah…”
“Yeah.”
Vangel: “Yeah. I think I’m going to be here for a while.”
