Panel 1
Glokka stands nearby holding a coffee cup as Kai approaches Vangel, who is seated and holding her own drink. Kai raises a hand in greeting.
Kai: “Hey!”
“Oh… uh…”
“I can come back later.”

Panel 2
Kai turns away from Glokka, trying to hide his face while Glokka gives him a dry look over her coffee.
Glokka: “Do I know you from somewhere?”
Kai: “Nope, you absolutely do not.”
Glokka: “From the emergency room, right?”
Kai: “Uh…”

Panel 3
Glokka walks alongside Kai as he moves closer to Vangel, who remains seated on the hood of the police car.
Glokka: “That was some pretty powerful sorcery you were slinging there.”
Kai: “I…”
Glokka (continuing): “You and your gang of street kids.”
Vangel: “How are Rose and everyone?”

Panel 4
Kai looks back over his shoulder as he answers, a small smile on his face.
Kai: “Good… good.”
“Some of them are opting to stay in the shelter, actually.”
“I’ve been introducing my friends to each other.”
“Kinda like it, merging my worlds.”
“Rose is a tough sell, though. She probably won’t go for it.”

Panel 5
Kai stands beside Vangel as she sips her coffee.
Vangel: “Can’t say I’m surprised.”
Kai: “That was pretty slick, by the way.”
Vangel: “Thanks. I sword good.”
Kai: “Nah. I mean getting cops and street kids to work together.”

Panel 6
Close on Vangel’s thoughtful expression as she looks down at her coffee cup, processing his words.
Vangel: “Oh…”
“Hadn’t thought about it that way.”
“I guess I just reminded everyone of who they want to be and who they don’t want to be.”
Vangel (continuing): “You all did the rest.”
