Police cars with flashing red and blue lights are parked in front of a suburban townhouse at night. Two officers stand near a garage, talking. Porch lights glow as rain or mist catches the light.

PANEL 2

Inside the house, a police officer stands in the foreground holding a notepad. Vangel sits hunched on a couch, shaken. Vangel’s mom stands behind her, gesturing and shouting at another officer, recounting events.

POLICE OFFICER:
“Did you know this boy?”
“Any idea why he would attack you in your home?”

PANEL 3

Through the front window, red and blue police lights flash across the lawn. Vangel can see a figure in a paladin coat visible outside, silhouetted against the lights.

PANEL 4

Close on Vangel as she looks up nervously, uncertain.

VANGEL:
“Uh… no.”

“No idea.”

PANEL 5

The police exit out the front door as Vangel’s mom closes it behind them.
