Panel 1
Mom, dressed in a purple suit, stands near the doorway with her arms crossed, visibly tense. Vangel, wearing a blue hoodie, stands a few steps inside the room, turned partly away.
Mom: “Alright…”
Mom (continuing): “Now would you please tell me what actually happened here today?”
Mom (continuing): “With crazy boys entering our home and glowing stones and God knows what else?”

Panel 2
Vangel shifts her weight as she explains.
Vangel: “You remember those guys at the café the other day?”
Vangel (continuing): “They were telling the truth.”
Vangel (continuing): “They’re Paladins and they protect normal people from magic and stuff.”
Vangel (continuing): “And I think I wanna be a Paladin too.”

Panel 3
Mom rubs her temple, eyes closed in disbelief. Vangel gestures emphatically as she responds.
Mom: “Ay…”
Mom (continuing): “Vangel, this is crazy. You can’t possibly be taking this seriously.”
Vangel: “After what we just saw? How can you not?”

Panel 4
Both Mom and Vangel turn their heads toward the door, reacting to the sound.
Sound Effect: “KNOCK KNOCK”

Panel 5
The door opens to reveal a smiling young man in a jacket over a red shirt, raising a hand in greeting.
Young Man: “Hey! Everybody alright?”

Panel 6
From behind the young man’s shoulder, Mom and Vangel glare at him from the doorway.
Mom: “You’ve got some nerve showing up here!”
Vangel: “Bruh!! You said he was going to forget everything!”
