TRANSCRIPT

PANEL 1 – Flashback, tense confrontation, Past-Zorensen is yelling at a police officer while his wife if in the foreground, face in her hands.

ZORENSEN (Narration): And then one day he just didn’t come home.
We’ve called the police, and anyone else we could think of!
But we never saw him again.

PANEL 2 – The wife leaving, suitcase in hand

ZORENSEN: My marriage fell apart after that.
She blamed me. Said I was too controlling…
That I drove our—
…her son away.

PANEL 3 – Living room, years later, Past Zorensen with stubble, holding a bowl, a spoonful of cereal halfway to his lips but he staring in shock at what’s on the television.

ZORENSEN: A couple years after that… The Revelation happened.

PANEL 4 – On the television is a newsfeed broadcast of The Revelation. A newscaster speaks to the audience while live footage of a crowd in panic plays next too him. Everyone is shouting, pointing, and taking phone videos of an enormous spectral tree that has appeared on top of a skyscraper.

ZORENSEN (Narration): The world found out that magic and monsters were real.

Maybe Danny’s tree people were real too.
