Vangel skids backwards as Zorn readies another attack. Above the mission the vortex of spiritual energy whirls overhead.
KAI (V.O.):
“This city don’t need another savior,
It needs the grit, the flame, the braver.”

“Standin’ tall when the heavens split,
For the lost ones nobody admits.”

PANEL 2
Zorn looks upward as the vortex dwindles and dissipates.
KAI (V.O.):

“For the laughter muffled, chained by night.
For the untold tales that never saw light.”
“I speak the spell, pray it ain’t too late.
I seal the rift—”

PANEL 3
Close-up on Zorn’s enraged face as he realizes what has happened.
KAI (V.O.):
“I close the gate!”

PANEL 4
Zorn charges Vangel in a fit of rage.

PANEL 5
Vangel hurls the Omega sword at Zorn like a spear.

PANEL 6
The sword streaks past Zorn, narrowly missing him.

PANEL 7
Zorn and Vangel collide, Zorn grabbing her by the head with his giant claw hand.

PANEL 8
Vangel’ a face is strained as Zorn has her pinned to the ground.
